OUR ARCHERY REGION NEEDS YOUR HELP!Hey Northwoods,Many of you may not know that our little club is part of a larger region of Archery clubs, which is then part of the even larger group for California called the California Bowmen Hunters / State Archery Association (CBH-SAA - cbhsaa.net).The CBH/SAA is our biggest club relative that helps to maintain laws for Archery throughout the state.All of the state is divided into these regions, which are comprised of various clubs/shops that request to be part of the regions, all working together to protect our wonderful sport.Our Region #58 is in immediate crisis of collapse. As with a lot of others, COVID impacted our region in a dramatic way which has resulted in all of the Officers positions for our region to no longer be occupied by any members.A quick summary of the volunteer duties and positions needed are:PRESIDENT - Holds at least two Regional meetings per year to which one or two club Board members for each club in the region must attend.VICE-PRESIDENT - Coordinates all of the regional shoots, which can and have historically piggy-backed on a normal club shoot.SECRETARY/TREASURER - Takes and distributes meeting minutes, collects club officer and Board member information for CBH/SAA, handles all other regional correspondence, and coordinates all regional finances and taxes.Please consider if any of these positions are something that you can take on and be part of. Keep in mind that these positions, while occupied by a single member, can have the load shared with those willing to assist.We REALLY do not want to lose our region so please take time to consider if you have or can adjust schedules to help to fill these positions.If you have any questions please email info@northwoodsbowmensclub.org and we will reach out to CBH/SAA to provide answers.
